I was seeing what kind of search engine hits the website was getting today (not many relevant hits so far, I'll continue to work on that), when I ran across the following article.  It appeared in the Montrose [Colorado] Daily Press today, 10 July 2003.  The interviewer spoke with Hubert Douglas Tabor, a member of the Regiment while in Burma.

The Association Newsletter is now available, see below for a link.  This is now a great opportunity for me to tell you about another members only feature on this site.  Registering with the site not only allows access to the members only sections, it gives you the ability to customize the content and subscribe to the email newsletter.  You can subscribe to the newsletter by clicking on "Update Account" in the Modules Menu.  This will take you to the Personal Information page.  I won't go into detail about what you'll find there, since it's all pretty self explanatory.  I will say that about halfway down the page is an option to "Receive Newsletter by Email?".  Click on the radio button next to your choice.  I'll convert the newsletter to HTML or plain text, which ever is most popular (a poll will be coming soon), and send it to the subscribers.

This newsletter will not go out this time since I don't have any subscribers yet.  It will be available online in two formats, HTML and PDF.  You can find the PDF document here.  Click on "Read More..." to read the HTML version.  As always, the HTML version will be missing the images to make it easier on those visitors with dial-up access to the internet.  If you want to see the newsletter in all its glory, download the PDF version.

Thanks once again go out to Jimmy (the Consultant), who graciously hacks/consults away at this web site, adding features where I lack the skill to add.  This time he has fixed the Online Membership Application.  This application process is a new thing for the Association, and as new processes tend to go, it needs a little work.  Those wishing to join, who also happen to be Squadron Troopers, will have it made.  All you have to do is bring your dues in to the next drill and give them to the Treasurer, currently CPT Kostencki.  Those of you who aren't able to experience the joy of being a Cav Trooper one weekend a month and two weeks a year can call our Recruiter and join us.  Or I guess you can wait until we work out a better payment method for you.  Either way, we'll be glad to have you.

I have added nine new downloads to the Downloads section.  These vary from Antivirus Software to FMs and STPs.  Some may be large, including the brand new STP-21-1-SMCT which is a little over 21 MB.  Download it now since the hard copy isn't available yet.

I have modified the Downloads Section access to Registered Users, who's email addresses and identities I can confirm.  The primary reason for this is the Antivirus Software is available only to military and DOD personnel through the government's licensing program.  Until I can make specific downloads available based on groups (like I'm doing with the Downloads Section as a whole), I will have to restrict access.  If you have created an account and I have not added you to the restricted group, email me through the Contact Us section.
